What is ARMIX.webnotes and what are "webnotes"?
Do you know this problem? You want to note something while you are online but you don't have any note sheet.
Now you can use ARMIX.webnotes to note it! Just sign in, and write some lines. You will be able to access your notes wherever you are.
In short: AWN is simply an online notepad. You can start your local editor like notepad.exe in Windows, write something,
save it and have it only on your harddisk or you can type webnotes.armix.net in the adressbar of your browser, write
something (- let's say you "make a webnote" -) and can access your notes wherever you are.
Is it free to use ARMIX.webnotes?
Yes! AWN is a completely free service.
Can I donate and what about advertisements?
We don't like ads and so we don't use them. But if you like this service you can buy books, music, electronics and many other things
at our webshop www.armixshop.com or use this link
to shop at Amazon. In both cases your order will be shipped free of shipping costs by Amazon. If you are from Austria, Germany or
Switzerland you could also hava a look at www.hp-telekom.com - a cool internet provider
which provides hosting, internet access, voice over ip and so on. ...and you can also donate via PayPal:
Where are my notes stored?
AWN uses Googles App Engine infrastructure - your webnotes are stored in the GAE Datastore at Google.
However AWN is not a Google service, it's a service by ARMIX.
What about data security?
AWN checks your login-information everytime you access your webnotes. No third party will be able to access them.
However we cannot guarantee anything about the Datastore and provide this free service "as is".
Because your webnotes are stored in the GAE Datastore we have no influence about how and where the data are stored and backed up.
How can I get an account?
You can sign in with any Google Account (but - at the moment - not with Google Apps accounts).
If you don't have an account for Google services just register - it's free!
How many webnotes may I create/post?
At the moment we have a limit at 1000 webnotes per user, but that should be enough for a very, very long time.
If you have 1000 webnotes you can simply delete an old, no longer used one and post a new one.
